So the Government of Kerala has introduced the Snehapoorvam scholarship which will help these students to continue their education despite the death of their parents or breadwinner. All the children who are below 5 years of age to class 12th and even to degree colleges are eligible to avail of this scholarship scheme. Through the successful implementation of this scheme, the orphan children will be able to continue their education despite financial problems.

Eligibility criteria

To be
eligible for the scheme you need to follow the following eligibility criteria

  • The applicant must be a resident of Kerala state

  • An applicant must be studying in any of the government or private school of Kerala state
  • The applicant must belong to below the poverty line
  • For children belonging to APL category, the annual income must be-
    • Below 20,000 for rural areas
    • Below 22,375 or less for urban areas
